Arthur Frederick Backer LINDSBORG —
Arthur Frederick Becker, 98, Lindsborg, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999, at Bethany Home, Lindsborg.
Mr. Becker was born Aug. 31, 1900, at Linn. He was treasurer of the Federal Intermediate Credit Bank, Wichita, vice president of National Livestock Credit Corp., director of the National Bank of America, Salina, and a cattleman.
He was a 75-year member of Solomon Masonic Lodge 0105, treasurer of the Asbury Hospital Board of Trustees and a member of Salina Rotary Club. He was an Army veteran of World War I and a former Saline County commissioner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara, in 1992; and a daughter, Virginia.
Survivors include a son, Dean of Wichita; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 10 am today at Bethany Home Ghapel, Lindsborg, the Rev. Donald Hawk officiating. The body was donated to Kansas University Medical School. Memorials may be made to Bethany Home or Salina Regional Health Center Foundation.
