Birth, baptismal and confirmation records in Denmark as well as the 1906 and 1916 Denmark census records all give his name as Jens Peder Pedersen, birthplace as Fakse, Denmark. He gives the same on his application for citizenship and WWII draft card. He was the son of Niels Pedersen and Kristen Marie Fredericksen, married Helen Gail Senn on 20 Mar 1926 at Des Moines, IA. He remarried in 1975 to Ruth Daisy (Perry) Henry, she survived him.
