Issac Ellis Ackle, 52, 435 South Curtis Street, died Thursday at St. Dominic's Hospital after an illness of a few days. Mr. Ackle a native of Lebanon, Syria, has lived in Jackson for the last 45 years. He and his brother , the late Joe Ackle operated the Ackle Brothers grocery for a number of years. He was a member of St. Colum's Episcopal Church, a veteran on World War I; a member of the American Legion; Henry Graves Post; the V. F. W.; Robert C. Nail Post; and the Cedars of Lebanon club.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Margaret Simon Ackle, three daughters, Mrs. John Lyons, Miss Lillian Ackle, and Miss Pauline Ackle, one son, Edward, and one granddaughter Cynthia Lyons all of Jackson.
