Corey William Menefee was born April 5, 1976, at the Greater Community Hospital in Creston, Iowa, the son of William Merle and Sherri Jean (Jacobson) Menefee and passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at his home in Atlantic.
He was baptized in April of 1977 at the Highland United Methodist Church in rural Fontanelle and was confirmed on December 30, 1990, at the United Methodist Church in Fontanelle, Iowa. Corey graduated from Bridgewater-Fontanelle High School with the class of 1995.
He loved his job at Henningson Construction, working as an equipment operator. In his spare time Corey enjoyed drawing, fishing, watching movies and cartoons, collecting Hot Wheels cars and telling stories. The family farm was his favorite place to be, fishing and spending time with his children. Corey always made sure to let people know how much he loved them.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Ruth Menefee and his uncles Stanley and Roger Jacobson.
