Jennie Vee Overstreet Carnley, age 91 of Vancleave, MS passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022.
She was born in Vancleave where she was a life-long resident. She was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a long-time member of Magnolia Baptist Church, Vancleave. She loved to lift her voice in song, to fish, and to play volleyball with her Sunsetters Volleyball Club.
Jennie was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Carnley; parents, Jake and Minnie Overstreet; three sisters; four brothers; and great-granddaughter, Taylin Gibbs.
She is survived by her daughters, Sue (Tom) David and Connie (Billy) Gibbs; sons, Dennis Carnley and Dale (Janice) Carnley; sisters, Inez White and Frances Hamilton; brothers, R.V. Overstreet and Roscoe Overstreet; ten grandchildren; twenty- two great-grandchildren; and eleven great great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Vancleave, MS. A funeral service will be at 11am on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Magnolia Baptist Church, Vancleave. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, 2400 Magnolia Church Rd., Vancleave, MS.
