Herald Coaster, March 1, 1967:

Funeral services for Raymond L. Ullrich Sr., 65, of Rosenberg, were held at 3 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Rosenberg. Rev. J. Vernon Wheeless of the Rice Temple Baptist Church in Houston and Rev. Charlie Lamb of the Methodist Church in Rosenberg officiated.

Mr. Ullrich passed away Sunday morning in a Houston hospital after an extended illness. He was mayor of Rosenberg from 1950 to 1958, and prior to that was Water Commissioner. He belonged to the Lions Club and Chamber of Commerce.

Among the survivors are his wife, Mrs. Will Ellen Ullrich of Rosenberg; two sons, R.L. Ullrich Jr. of Bellaire and T.P. Boyett of Houston; two brothers, Harman F. Ullrich of Houston and Robert G. Ullrich of Houston; a sister, Mrs. Ollie Brumbelow of Houston; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers were A.E. Sona Foerster, Herbert Hartman, M.E. Parrott, Travis Anderson, Earl Trest, Clyde Butler, Floyd O'Shieles, W.E. Pearce, Franklin Herndon, and Frank Dedek.

Burial was in the Greenlawn Memorial Park. Funeral services were under the direction of Garmany and Co. Funeral Directors.
