Funeral for Marvin Ray Ball, 32, of Springdale, Ark will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church. Grave side services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Plains Cemetery, Planes.

Mr. Ball a former Garden City resident, died Friday Jan. 10, 1997, at Springdale

The son of Darryl L. and Shirley K. Cranston Ball, he was born Jan 12, 1964, at Garden City. He attended Garden City schools and Liberal Area Vo-Tech School.

Shortly after moving to Springdale in 1987, he moved to California where he lived until returning to Springdale in 1993, He was factory worker in a chicken hatchery in Springdale.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Garden City, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and western music.

He is survived by his parents, Garden City; two sisters Brenda L. Johnson and Charie K. Denton, both of Dalhart, Texas; his grandparents, Lorena M Ball, Plains, Harry and Kathryn Cranston, Garden City; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Emery F. Ball.

Visitation will be until 9 tonight at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City. Memorials are to the church or the American Heart Association, both in care of the funeral home.
