Funeral services for the late E. Tammen who died at his residence on North Fourth avenue Friday morning will be held at the residence Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and services will also be conducted at the St. John's church at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. F.P. Umbeck will officiate. Interment will be made in Mound Grove cemetery.

Mr. Tammen has been a resident of this section of the state for the past twenty years, making his home in the vicinity of Minonk. He was born in Germany in 1851 and when about twenty years of age removed to the United States. He had been a resident of this city but about six months and died on the fifty-seventh anniversary of his birth.

Besides his wife he is survived by thirteen children as follows, also three sisters and one brother: Richard of Decatur, Harm, Henry and Letta Tammen of Chicago, Mrs. Etta Stirling of Waldron and Irene, Julius, Raymond, Kate, Lida and Pearl Tammen and Mrs. Annie Cole and Mrs. Etta Algier of Kankakee.
