Pastor Gordon McCrillis, 85, formerly of 456 Heaton Creek Road, Roan Mountain, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Roan Highlands Nursing Home following an extended illness.
Pastor McCrillis was a native of Marshfield, Wis., and a son of the late Charles and Elsie Jennings McCrillis. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, June Jeanette Dean McCrillis, a son, Curtis Blair McCrillis, and by three brothers and two sisters.
Pastor McCrillis served as Pastor of several Seventh-day Adventist Churches before retiring. He was a member of Roan Mountain Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marion McCrillis, Roan Mountain; three sons, Terry McCrillis and Malcolm McCrillis, both of Roan Mountain, and Michael McCrillis, Maui, Hawaii; four stepdaughters, Elizabeth Snooks of California, Geanne Barrett of Washington, Ruth Lechler, Collegedale, Tenn., and Sandra Revis, Whitwell, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a niece, Nancy Johnson, Ooltewah, Tenn.

McCRILLIS -- Memorial services for Pastor Gordon McCrillis, 85, formerly of 456 Heaton Creek Road, Roan Mountain, who died Saturday, May 25, 2002, will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at Roan Mountain Seventh-day Adventist Church, Roan Mountain, with Pastor Allan Stump officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Condolences may be sent to the family via e-mail address [email protected].
