Mrs. Jessie Cox
Mrs. Jessie Cox, 77, 236. W. Graysville St., Sullivan, died at 6:50 am today at Mary Sherman Hospital following an extended illness.
She was a member of Mt. Moriah Methodist Church, the Hud Crowder Relief Corps, and the Speedo Club.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Maxine Alumbaugh and Mrs. Rosemary Tarwater, both of Sullivan, and Mrs. Joyce Bowen of Indianapolis; a son, Capt. Jack Cox, USAF, Oklahoma City Okla; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Delores Bateman of Plainfield, Ind., Mrs. Irene Stringer of Terre Haute, and Mrs. Dola Doss of Indianapolis; a stepson, Arnold Cox of Griffith, Ind; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending at the Alexander Funeral Home.

Services for Mrs. Jessie Cox, 77, 236 W. Graysville St. Sullivan, who died at 6:30 am Wednesday inMary Sherman Hospital, will be at 2 pm Saturday at the Alexander Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Harris, and the Rev. E.T. Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 pm Thursday.
She was a member of Mt. Moriah Methodist Church, the Hud Crowder Relief Corps, and the Speedo Club.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Maxine Alumbaugh and Mrs. Rosemary Tarwater, both of Sullivan, and Mrs. Joyce Bowen of Indianapolis; a son, Capt. Jack Cox, USAF, Oklahoma City Okla; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Delores Bateman of Plainfield, Ind., Mrs. Irene Stringer of Terre Haute, and Mrs. Dola Doss of Indianapolis; a stepson, Arnold Cox of Griffith, Ind; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
