SPRINGFIELD - Raymond C. Bousquet, 85, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2013 with his wife and daughter at his side. Born on March 11, 1928 in Ludlow, MA, he was the son of the late Armand and Stella (Houle) Bousquet. Ray was predeceased by his 2 sisters, Lorraine Kosla-Gingrass and Ethel Matiskala; and an infant daughter, Mary Louise. Ray was a WW II Veteran serving with the 11th Airborne. He worked for NABISCO for over 30 years until his retirement in 1984. He then went on to work as a handy man for Knight Reality, until the age of 83. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Eunice (Brodeur) Bousquet; his daughter Patricia Bonneau and her husband Peter, of Ware, MA, and a daughter Margaret Smith of, Greenfield, MA. Ray loved being around people, having tag sales, and his beloved dog "Snooper". He was a great handyman who could fix nearly everything. At Ray's request there will be no services. Private burial will take place in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society, P.O. Box 6307, Springfield, MA 01101. Colonial Forastiere Family Funeral and Cremation, Agawam, has been entrusted with arrangements. www.forastierefuneralhome.com.
