Children: 1. Erastus Wolcott Barnum, b. Sept. 18, 1793; d. Nov. 7, 1875 m. Sarah Julia Hand (B. June 20, 1786; d. Feb. 14, 1855) (buried at Shoreham, Vermont).

Erastus's grandfather was Captain Nathaniel Cary, who served in the Revolutionary War and died in Nov. 22, 1776. He is buried at the Old Scotland Cemetery in Windham County, Connecticut, #70995174.
