Herbert E. Maxson, 85, of 507 Tioga St., died this morning in State General Hospital after a long illness.
Born in West Lenox, he lived in this city 60 years. Mr. Maxson was an electrical construction worker for the Hudson Coal Co. prior to his retirement.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Harrison, this city; four sons, Earl, Dunmore; Stanley, Paterson, N.J., and Russell and Herbert, this city; 16 grand-children and 30 great-grand-children.
The funeral will be from the DeGraw Funeral Home, 2031 Green Ridge St., Dunmore, Monday at 10:30 A.M. Interment, Montrose Cemetery. Friends may call tomorrow from 7 to 9 P.M., and Sunday from 2. 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
