Mrs. Carrie Daggett, 62, the daughter of George Severance, the first settler in Hudson, Ia., 65 years ago, died last night at the family home, 1016 Bertch avenue. She was born Aug. 22, 1862, at Hudson and had lived in Waterloo, 28 years.
Surviving beside her husband are the following children: Ralph Chambers, Mrs. Blanche Billings and Mrs. Jessie Garland, Waterloo; two sisters and one brother in California.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Kistner chapel, in charge of Rev. E.W. Main, pastor of Graves Memorial United Brethren church, of which deceased was a member. Burial will be at Hudson.
