Mrs. J.A. Frazer, wife of Mr. J.A. Frazer, for many years a resident of Columbus, died at her home in Opelika Wednesday morning at 3 o'clock, after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Frazer suffered a stroke of paralysis in February last from which she did not recover and this was responsible for her death. She was a member of St. Luke Methodist church of this city since 1846, having retained her membership in it even after her removal to Opelika, and she was a most estimable Christian woman, and had a large number of friends in Columbus who will regret very much to learn of her death. She was born near Covington, Ga., and her father moved to Eufaula, Ala., later to Columbus in 1845. Surviving her are her husband, one daughter, Ms. J.F. Turrentine of Tallassee, Ala., and one son, Mr. L.C. Frazer, of Birmingham, Ala. The remains will be brought to this city this afternoon at 1 o'clock on the train from Opelika, and the funeral will be held from the Union passenger station. Rev. O.R. Chester, pastor of St. Luke Methodist will conduct the service. The interment will be in Linwood Cemetery.
