Donna Jean Chamberlain Williamston Donna Jean Chamberlain died on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the age of 83 at Riverwind Assisted Living Residence in Williamston, MI. She was born on August 11, 1930 to Earl and Jessie (Monk) Chamberlain. She graduated from Michigan State University and spent her entire career as an elementary teacher with the Lansing Public Schools. She enjoyed traveling, Bridge, her cats and the company of family and friends. Her greatest pleasure, however, was spending time at her Juniper Beach cottage on Lake Michigan where she walked the beach, climbed the dunes and collected Native American pottery shards. She was preceded in death by her sister, brother and nephew. She is survived by two nieces, Julie Wetters (Howard) of Kawkawlin and Susan Salisbury (Stephen) of Twin Lake and several great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Asbury United Methodist church in Lansing on Monday, September 23, at 3:00 PM. Donations in her honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Michigan, Great Lake Chapter, 310 N. Main, Ste. 100 Chelsea, MI 48118. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.grlansing.com
