BROTHER DIES AT MASON CITY
James Brown, Formerly Of Caledonia, Expires In Iowa Unknown To Relatives
Hugh T. Brown received a telegram Wednesday morning announcing the death of his brother, James H. Brown, at Mason City, Iowa. Mr. Brown's home was at Rockwell, Iowa, and he passed away at 8 o'clock Tuesday night.
Mr. Brown was one of the prominent residents of the Iowa city, being president of the Rockwell Farmers' Co-operative association and president of the Iowa State Cooperative association. He was also president of a large brick and tile association in his home city.
Hugh Brown and J. B. McEachran of Rockford and John B. Williams and Mrs. Charles F. Brown of Caledonia left last night to attend the funeral. The relatives here did not know of Mr. Brown's illness until a day before the telegram announcing his death was received. Mr. Brown was a son of Mr. and Mrs. David Brown of Boone county. He was 54 years of age and formerly lived at Caledonia. He had resided at Rockwell for the past few years.
