born Aug. 24, 1927, in Crews to Carlos and Ruby Mathis. She was a beautician
and owned Lanita's Beauty Shop for many years. Jean married Billie Barton on
March 11, 1979. She was a member of the Northside Church of Christ and worked
at the soup kitchen for five years. Jean also was a Cub Scout Den Mother in the
1960s. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sons.
