Norval W. Woodworth,88 died June 11,1999 at Trinity Manor,Dodge City,KS.

He was born at Billings,Okla to Henry Clay and Lula Mowery Woodworth. He was a graduate of Newton High School and attended Southwestern college in Winfield,KS. A Dodge City resident since 1983 having lived at Plains,Ks and Arlington, Va, he was a Postal Service inspector. He was teh first postmaster at Plains,Ks, he entered the Postal Inspection in 1943 and was assistant chief inspector for the post office department at Washington D.C.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Dodge city,Ks and of the Plains Masonic Lodge St.Bernard Chapter No. 97 and was a life member of the Midian Temple in Wichita,Ks.

On Jan.2,1932 he married Vida Baty at Dighton,KS. She survives.

Other survivors are two sons, Richard of Dodge City and Wayne of West Des Moines, Iowa; two daughters, Sharon Boone and Geri Hill both of Springfield,Mo.; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services at the church with Rev. Dick Robbins presiding and Dr. Michael Gardner.
