Nancy was the daughter of Elijah and Elizabeth (Schride) Pennington and a granddaughter of Adam and Charity Schride. She married John LaFollette, 1796-1865, born at LaFollettesville, Hampshire Co. Va. the son of William and Jane (McKee) LaFollette. They lived at LaFollettsville in the Capon District of Hampshire Co. until the late 1850s when they moved to Oceola, Crawford Co. Ohio. Nancy's parents also moved to Crawford Co. Nancy and John had eight children.
