Gail Lynette Dreher was born in Bakersfield on August 19, 1960 to Jack and Mary Ellen Agan and she died in Tijeras, New Mexico on September 7, 2005. She lived her first ten years in Bakersfield and returned several times to live, in the meantime living in various places in the U.S. and overseas, including Nigeria and Australia. She attended high school in Rome for a time, and in 1984 graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education from Cal State Bakersfield, after which she worked for Head Start until her marriage in 1986 to Glen Dreher. From that time on, she devoted her life to her family. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, contagious laughter and her generosity toward anyone who needed a friend or a helping hand. Her greatest source of joy was being with her family and caring for them and for her pets. Pallbearers will be James Howard, Stephen Howard, David Howard, Brent Garrett, Mark Taylor and Herb Sample.
