Pinky was the beloved Ferret 'Son' of findagrave contributor Frank Russo. Pinky was a great individual who lived a great life that was all too short. Pinky, who we also called 'Butch' or 'Butchie,' used to love to steal things, in particular Yankee Baseball caps and socks. Once, when we moved a TV in my room, we found about 20 different socks that had been missing, plus about 10 baseball caps! Pinky was a Happy-go-lucky Soul who used to love to play with his brothers and sisters, and enjoyed fooling around with our cat, Kitten. He was very loving and used to enjoy getting treats and eating the cats food whenever we let him out of the cage. He touched everyone that he met, and was the special favorite of our niece, Gianna. GiGi would pick Pinky up and carry him around like he was some kind of doll and he would just lay there letting her carry him around, doing whatever she wanted with him. He was loved especially by my mother Rose, who used to call him 'The Puppy' since he was big like a small puppy. Pinky unexpectedly started suffering from pancreatic cancer in early September of 2005. I decided to put him to sleep on the evening of September 13th, 2005 at the Rutherford Animal Hospital after consulting with Dr. Neal Beeber, his Vet. I didn't want him to start suffering seizures, and since Inuslinoma is eventually fatal, I felt it was best to send him to a better place. Before I said goodbye, I walked around with him and petted him, assuring him that he was and always will be 'My Butch'. He is in God's hands now and is playing and running with his other little buddies in Heaven. Of course, he will be missed every day of our lives, but, we also know that we will all one day be together when we cross over the Rainbow Bridge together. We love you Pinky!
