Mildred, born to John and Fannie Ledford on June 8, 1923, in Crowder, Miss., entered eternal rest in her home surrounded by family on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2013. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Church of God of Prophecy, 3428 Hampshire Blvd., Fort Worth, with burial to follow in Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Mildred was a dedicated mother and devoted to her church and family. She loved the good things that come from the Lord's bounty, pecans from the trees, fishing, and tending her two acre garden. She was blessed with a large family, including many babies to hold. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Land. Survivors: Her children, Fran Neagle (Charlie), Mickey Jenkins, Carl Land, Nita Kirchman (Billy), Rhonda May (Kenny), Marie Rasco (Johnny), Buddy Land (Sherry); as well as countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members.
