Honea Path – Mr. William Daniel Smith, 77, of 314 Ervin Street, husband of JoAnn Wilson Smith, died Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Anderson County, he was the only child of the late Jonas and Grace Louise Daniel Smith Arflin. He was a member of the Honea Path First Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Army, WWII and Korea. He was a former department manager with Riegel Textile and Springs Industries.
Surviving in addition to his wife are: a son, Mark R. Smith and wife Alecia of Anderson and a granddaughter, Kinsley Smith of Anderson.
Services will be held 2 PM Saturday at Pruitt Funeral Home - Honea Path, with Rev. Mike Moody officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 – 2PM prior to the service.
