Manise was the sixth child born out of nine known children to Felix Demonbreun and Mary Ann Cagle. She being born on January 27, 1819 in Davidson County, Tennessee. At a young age her family moved to Edmonson County, Kentucky.
On December 5, 1837 at the age of 18, Manise was married to John Fleming in Adair County, Kentucky. This marriage produced one child, James Phillix Fleming, who was born about 1838 in Adair County. It is not know for sure when John passed away, but we do know that he passed away before November of 1845.
On November 20, 1845, Manise was married to a twice widower, Gabriel Farrell (Ferrell). They were married in Edmonson County. To this union three children were born, John William Ferrell, born August 8, 1846 in Barren County, Kentucky, Felix Newton Ferrell, born May 17, 1848 in Barren County and Lucy Jane Ferrell, who was born in June of 1850 in Barren County, Kentucky.
Sometime before April of 1851, Gabriel passed away of Small Pox while living in Barren County, Kentucky.
Manise was married a third time, her husband being George Washington Sanders. They were wed on October 27, 1851 in Barren County. Five children were born to this union, Elias Sanders, who was born on August 27, 1852 in Barren County, Elizabeth Pauline Sanders, born on June 16, 1854 and a twin infant daughter born and died the same day, Manica E. Sanders, born in January of 1856, died in infancy and Sarah L. Sanders who was born about 1858 and lived to be about three years of age.
