Funeral services for Anna Emma Shevy, age 97 of The Luther Home in Marinette, Wisconsin, were held Sat. March 15th at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home in Coleman. The Rev. Tim Gunderson officiated with burial at First Baptist Cemetery in Pound, WI. She died on her 97th birthday, March 12th.

Born in Coleman on March 12, 1911 to the late Jacob and Anna (Blucher) Mraz.

She married Joseph M. Shevy on Sept. 12, 1929.
The couple farmed in the Pound area until 1944 when they purchased the General Store in Birch Creek, MI.
In 1973, the store was sold and they moved to an apartment in Menominee, MI. When the Interfaith Manor was built, she became one its first residents, living there for 25 years, before her transfer to The Luther Home in Nov., 2007. She was a member of the North Shore Baptist Church in Menominee, MI.

Survivors include six children: Lorraine Long and Delma Clark, both of Menominee, MI; Eunice (Gail) VanCaster of Green Bay, WI; Norman Shevy of Wausau, WI; Allen Shevy of Tampa, FL; Delmar (Sally) Shevy of Traverse City, MI; 20 grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph; one sister Ella; seven brothers William; Joseph; Frederick; Frank; Jacob and Chester; two daughters-in-law.
