Eddie Lois was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Charles Samuel "Sam" and Annie Mae (Helm) Baker. She attended school in Bosqueville and graduated from Aquilla High School in 1962. On June 23, 1962, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Glynn Rape in Aquilla. Eddie Lois worked as a manager for the Shell Station with Haltom Oil Company in several Waco locations for over 17 years until her retirement. She also worked for Czech Stop in West and for West I.S.D. Cafeterias. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Eddie Lois enjoyed raising game chickens and sheep with her husband, playing Bingo, gambling and bowling. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Eddie Lois was preceded in death by her husband, on November 25, 2012; sister, Glenda Fay Carpenter; and a great-grandson, Hunter Matus.
Survivors include daughters, Melissa Hollister and husband, Chris, of Hallsburg, and Ali Shilling and husband, Tommy, of Bosqueville; sons, Kenneth Ray Rape and wife, Janeen, of West, and Jeff Armstrong and wife, Krystal, of Axtell; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Charles R. Baker and wife, Darlene; brothers-in-law, Eldon Reeb and Paul Thompson and wife, Leslie; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
