Miss Joanna T. D. Willett died last evening at the Presbyterian Church Home. Miss Willett had been for about thirty years the missionary of the Church Society of the Second Presbyterian Church, retaining that position
up to the last, although on account of failing health she took up her residence at the Home a few months ago. Miss Willett was a native of Albany, having been born there in July, 1848, and having been a member of the Second Church for thirty-seven years, and was previously a member of the Oakwood Avenue Presbyterian Church. She was a woman of rare adaptation to the benevolent work she carried on so efficiently for many years, and hundreds of families in this city were blessed by her ministrations. Miss Willett was Secretary and one of the Directors of The Troy Times Fresh Air Fund. She had been connected with the Fund more than twenty years, and it was her great pleasure both to organize and take charge of the parties at the Home In
Grafton until recent years, when she continued to make selection" of parties, but did not go with them to the mountain fresh air resort, where she had always been of invaluable help. Miss Wlllett is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Frank Boardman, formerly of Troy, now a resident of Cleveland, Ohio, and Miss S. E. Willett of Syracuse, and the following nephews and nieces: Frank H. Boardman of Albany, Mrs. A. W. H. Spear of Cleveland and Mrs. H. O.
Smith of Springfield, MA. The funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock from the Presbyterian Church Home, 92 First Street, and the Interment will be In Albany Rural Cemetery. The service will be conducted
by Rev. Dr. Hecter Hall, pastor emeritus of the Second Presbyterian Church.
