Edward D. "Tom" Needham, age 85, of Waukegan passed away on August 13, 2007 at the V.A. Medical Center. He was born on May 16, 1922 in Waukegan.
Edward was a member of St. Dismas Catholic Church and belonged to the Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He was also an avid bowler and golfer. Edward was retired from Johnson Motors.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline of 63 years; three daughters, Patt (Bernard) Heiny, Mary (Dennis) Overbey and Carol Farr; one brother Charles Needham; six grandchildren, Nadine Heiny, Debbie Overbey, Brian Heiny, Keith Farr, Scott Overbey and Tom Farr; two great grandchildren, James Doucet and Wesley Zegan; and one brother Charles Needham.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Waiden; three brothers, Jack, Austin and David Needham; parents, John and Lydia Needham. A memorial mass will be held at St. Dismas Catholic Church at 2600 Sunset Avenue, Waukegan on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Father John Ryan officiating.
Burial will be private.
