Mr. Oscar L. Ralston, aged 40 years, died of tuberculosis at his home near Hughey Thursday, August 3, 1916. He was at one time connected with the Fayetteville Post Office and after was engaged in the jewelry business, going to Chicago to engage in the same business and where he contracted the disease which resulted in his death. He returned to his childhood home where he received the most wolleitous care, but the progress of the disease could not be arrested, and as he reached the inederian of life. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and was in every way an exemplary citizen. The funeral service was conducted by Revs. E. L. Gregory and R. A. Young, after which the remains were laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, four brothers, James D. and William Ralston, of Fayetteville, J. H. and Mack Ralston of Chicago, and two sisters, Mrs. W. T. McCown and Miss Mary Ralston, of Fayetteville.
