David F. Sharp Dead

David F. Sharp, 1511 Burlingame Road, a retired Santa Fe Railroad engineer, died this morning in the Santa Fe Hospital in Topeka.

Funeral services will be held in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel. with the time to be announced.

The son of Charles and Manda Grimes Sharp, David Sharp was born March 11th 1876, in Frost W.Va. His first wife, Viola B. Sharp, died Oct. 31st, 1942, and he was married to Gertrude M. Montgomery May 6th, 1952, in Chicago, Ill. He was a member of the Methodist Church; Emporia Masonic Lodge 12, A.F. & A.M., the Commandery Chapter and Council; Miriam Chapter 14, order of the Eastern Star, and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.

He is survived by his wife, of the home; one son, David E., of Ottawa; one brother, Austin, of Frost, W. Va., and two sisters, Mr. B.B. Williams, of Marlington, W. Va., and Mrs. John H. Carter, San Antonio, Tex; two step-daughters, Mrs. Roy Beard, Houston, Tex., and Mrs.A.A. Crandall, of Oregon, and three grandchildren, Dale Sharp, Pomona, Calif.; Darwin Sharp, Washington, D.C., and Jack Beard, Houston.
