"Salina J. Fatherree - Grandma Fatherree Died early Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. McCall, with who she has made her home since Christmas. The body was taken to Chickasha where funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church and interment was made in Rose Hill Cemetery at that place.
Salina J. McDowell was born at Monticello, Georgia, June 20, 1853, died March 20, 1931, aged 67 years and 9 months.
She was united in marriage to A. L. Fatheree at Jefferson, Texas, September 4. 1870. Five children born to this union and all are still living: V. E. Fatherree of Pampa, Texas, A. A. Fatherree, El Reno; T. D. Fatherree, T. D. Fatherree, Chickasha; Mrs. R. C. Henry, Washita, and Mrs. J. W. McCall of this place. The husband died at Chickasha, where the family made their home for twenty years.
Grandma was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Chickasha. Numerous beautiful floral offerings expressed the deep feeling of the many Carnegie and Chickasha friends.
Mrs. S. W. Abrams of Miami, Mrs. B. V. Yates of Burkburntt, Texas, and Miss Bee McCall of Oklahoma University, attended the funeral".
