NEWELLTON, La. – Mary Annell Roberts Lee, 72, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at Pioneer Community Hospital in Aberdeen after a brief illness. She was born on Feb. 3, 1941, in Monroe County to Grady and Ruth Mullins Roberts. She was a native of Aberdeen, but had lived in Natchez for most of her life before residing in Newellton, La., for the past 15 years. She was a retired bookkeeper and a Baptist. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking and being with her dog, Rufus Lee.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 26, at the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton with the Rev. Donald Pounders officiating. Burial will be in Nettleton Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Julia Kate Lee of Aberdeen; and one sister, Sharon Adams (R.V.) of Nettleton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Frank Lee Jr.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
