Susan Hursh was born in Richland county, Ohio, Dec. 29, 1836 and died at her home in Sedan, DeKalb County, Ind., May 7, 1906; aged 69 years, 4 mos. and 8 days.
She leaves to mourn her departure an aged and very feeble companion, one brother, two children and other near relatives and friends.
She came with her parents while quite young to DeKalb county, Ind. She was first married to Wm. Wallace and to them were born one daughter and one son. Mr. Wallace having died some years ago she was married to Joseph Reeder in 1878, who is left to mourn his loss.
She did not belong to any church but said to her son a short time before she left us, "I am going home to Heaven."
The funeral was conducted by Rev. Wm. Clark, of Waterloo, in the Lutheran church at Sedan, interment in the Cedar Lake cemetery.
A very fine audience were present to pay the last tribute of respect. We trust she is at rest with our God.
