Mrs. Beach was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Murphysboro and was active in numerous civic and social groups in Jackson County throughout her life. She was active in the Jackson County Housing Authority.
She was born Dec. 20, 1905, in Murphysboro, to Robert E. and Rachel Jane Leaton Edwards.
She married Joseph Beach on Oct. 11, 1924, in Murphysboro. He preceded her in death Dec. 4, 1969.
Survivors include one son, Robert E. Beach, of Carbondale; one daughter, Jane Demarco, Murphysboro; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Edna Edwards, Murphysboro; and one brother, Robert Edwards, Murphysboro.
Two sisters, Ina Sanders and Alice Albon, also preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the First Presbyterian Church. Burial following cremation will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Cemetery.
There will be no visitation or funeral. Crawshaw Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
