J. C. MARTINDALE DEAD

James Chester Martindale, 79, a former Emporian, died Wednesday at his home in Poulsbo, Wash., according to news received by his daughter, Mrs. Harold Cade, 809 Market Street. The Martindale family lived for many years at 811 Constitution St., and Mr. Martindale worked for the Hancock and Bang Clothing Company and later for Newman's.

Mr. Martindale was born Jan. 15th, 1869, in Madison, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Martindale. He married Mary Folsom in 1905, and they moved to Seattle, Wash., in 1941. After the death of Mrs. Martindale Dec. 5th, 1948, he moved to Poulsbo, Wash., to be near a daughter, Mrs. C. H. Mount. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Cade of Emporia, Mrs. Mount of Poulsbo, and Mrs. Fred Junell of Bremerton, Wash. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Emporia and the Emporia Masonic Lodge.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Warren G. Harding Lodge of Poulsbo. Mrs. Cade will not attend the service.
