Irene Hilda Guimond was born in Hanover, MA, the youngest child of Fred Isidore Guimond and Elizabeth Mae Hughes. She had one brother, Edward Foster Guimond, and two sisters, Ruth Irma Guimond and Frances May "Ces" Guimond. She married Albion Perry Nunes and had two children, Wayne Edward and Brenda Elizabeth.
In 1948 she moved to Arizona with Albion and Wayne. Brenda was born soon after. Irene was a devoted wife and mother. She worked long hours as a waitress and cook. She was also a Girl Scout leader and an active member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Society. She was widowed in 1968 after nursing Albion through a long illness. She married Sylvester Buddy Feather, a full blooded Sioux Indian artist. She created beautiful bead work which she sold at the art shows they attended. Widowed again in 1984, she moved to Seaside, Or. where she served as the registrar for the Seaside Museum at age 66. She loved Jazz and attended many Jazz Festivals and traveled to New Orleans to experience Jazz at its heart. She moved back to Casa Grande, Az in 1995 and lived near her son, Wayne. In 1997 she moved to her final home in Catalina, AZ. Always on the go, she worked the Christian Booksellers conventions, traveled to Hawaii, Jamaica and Alaska. She was Granny to "kids" of all ages. Jingle your keys and she was ready to go. She did this and so much more. A true blessing to her family and all who knew her. She will be missed!
