Mrs. Mary Ellen Reese of 704 Dorey St., widow of H. F. Reese, died at 10 p. m. Saturday in the Clearfield Hospital following an extended illness. Her age was 83.
Born at Bedford, Pa.. Sept. 13, 1878, Mrs. Reese was the daughter of the late Henry and Sarah Jane (Ames) Bagley. She was a member of the Clearfield Evangelical United Brethren Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dick (Winifred) Adams and Miss Jeannette Reese, both of Clearfield. Also surviving area sister, Mrs. D. 0. (Elsie) Nelson, Altoona, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to Mr. Reese, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Miss Marguerite Reese, and an infant son, Charles.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. from the Fred B. Leavy Funeral Home with the Rev. Harry McFarland officiating. Burial will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o'clock tonight; Tuesday afternoon and evening, and until the hour of service Wednesday.
