LLOYD SCHERER

Lloyd A. Scherer, 69, of 1210 Marshall St., Manitowoc, died Sunday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Earl Brouchoud will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Scherer was born Oct. 2, 1901, at Manitowoc, son of the late William and Margaret Donohue Scherer. He married Marie Trost Nov. 11, 1939, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He had been employed as a steamfitter for the G.H. Kallies Co., Manitowoc. Mr. Schrerer was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Boniface Church and also a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local No. 445 of Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Robert and Kenneth of Green Bay, Richard and Dennis of Manitowoc, and Gregory or Milwaukee; four brothers, William of California, and Homer, Roy and Orley of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Walter Wells, of California, and seven grandchildren. A sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday where a memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. by the Holy Name Society, members of the parish and friends.
