BETTY A. SELL
(1925 - 2010)
Betty A. Sell, age 84, formerly of 947 S. 35th St., Manitowoc, and currently a resident of Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, died on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at Rivers Bend.
The former Betty Henrickson was born June 14, 1925, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Orville and Anna Schaefer Henrickson. On Aug. 31, 1946, Betty married Kenneth F. Sell at St. Luke Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Kenneth preceded her in death on March 11, 1990. Betty had worked for Mirro Aluminum for 27 years retiring in 1990. She was a member of VFW Auxillary Otto-Oas Post 659 of Manitowoc. Betty enjoyed playing dartball for more than 20 years, playing bingo and traveling, especially to casinos.
Survivors include three sons and one daughter-in-law: Dennis (Lois) Sell of Florida; David Sell of Manitowoc; Terry Sell of Manitowoc; two daughters: Karen Skarvan of Manitowoc; Kay Faber of Manitowoc and her special friend Richard Altergott; 13 grandchildren: Kenneth (Shannon) Sell, Ben (Christine) Sell, Eric (Melissa) Sell, Denise Sell, Raymond Sell, Teresa Novak, Christine Skarvan and her special friend Paul Tuschel, Tanya Laedtke and her special friend Chad Scott, Jason Klein, Dan (Jill) Karbon Jr., Mike Karbon, Jamie Karbon, Daniel Hansen; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one great-grandchild, two brothers and two sisters.
VFW auxiliary services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State St., Manitowoc. Burial will take place on Saturday at the Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
