Edna Darlene Young, 82, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017.
Edna was born on April 30, 1935 in Montpelier, Idaho the youngest of 12 children of Christian and Margaritha Schlunegger Gerber. She grew up in Montpelier, Idaho and has also lived in Grace, ID, Smithfield, UT, and Blackfoot, ID.
Edna married Max Grant Gibson on October 24, 1954 in Montpelier, Idaho. They were later divorced. She married Oscar Edwin Egbert on June 22, 1973 in Grace, Idaho. He passed away May 6, 1982. Edna married Joseph Ray Young on July 8, 1983 in Grace, Idaho. He passed away on July 8, 1988.
She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She enjoyed gardening and quilting.
Edna is survived by four sons, Kerry Grant (Theresa) Gibson, of Oklahoma City, OK, Douglas Chris (Denise) Gibson, of Shelly, Curtis Alan Gibson, of Blackfoot, and Brian Keith (Denise) Gibson, of Driggs; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Ruth Julian and Lillian Eschler.
She was preceded in death by a son, Randall Max Gibson; a daughter, Cynthia Sue Gibson; her siblings: Julia Nye, Joseph Gerber, Clara Perkins, Gladys Derricott, David Gerber, Berniece Wilson, Frieda Baird, Irene Swa and Nelda DeMain.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Grace Cemetery.
