ADELLA SCHNEIDER
(1911 - 1962)

Mrs. John Scheider, 50, of 1004 S. 10th St., Manitowoc, died at 8:40 p.m. Saturday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been removed shortly before. Death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Rev. Alfred Pritzl will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The former Adella Mrotek was born Aug. 27, 1911, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Alex and Pauline Korlesky Mrotek. She was married to John F. Schneider at Manitowoc July 20, 1932, and moved to La Crosse, residing there until 17 years ago, returning to Manitowoc. Mr. Schneider died Nov. 30, 1961.

Mrs. Schneider, who attended St. Boniface Parochial School, was past president of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, a member of Drews-Bleser American Legion Auxiliary and Women’s Relief Corps. She had been active in scouting.

Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Elwin Lutzke and Miss Kay Schneider of Manitowoc; two sons, Keith of Oshkosh and Kent of Manitowoc; five brothers, Daniel, Roman, Arthur, Max and Eugene of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Garfield Crawford of Manitowoc and two grandchildren. Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 o’clock this Monday evening. Past presidents, officer and members of VFW Auxiliary will meet at the funeral home at 7 o’clock.
