Helen Anna Schultz, age 90, formerly of 2501 Clark Street, Manitowoc, a Manitowoc Health Care Center resident, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Roman Zbieranski OFM, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery,Manitowoc.

Helen was born March 1, 1909 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Nikolai Schermetzler. On July 25, 1936 she married John Schultz at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Rief Mills. John preceded her in death March 21, 1978. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Rosary & Altar Society of St. Mary’s.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Lucille and Phil Andrastek of Manitowoc; five grandchildren, Mary Peters and her husband Bill, Green Bay, Phil Andrastek Jr. and his wife Nancy, Manitowoc, John Andrastek and his wife, John Healy, St. Paul, Minn., Joseph Andrastek and his fiancée, Natalie Wilson, Manitowoc, Peter Andrastek, Manitowoc; nine great-grandchildren, B.J. and Joey Peters, Katie, Emily and Melissa Andrastek, Sam, Henry, Bridget and Alice Andrastek; three brothers and five sisters-in-law, Leonard and Rose Schermetzler, Donald and Jeanette Schermetzler, Bernard and Marie Schermetzler, all of Manitowoc, Mrs. Jacob (Marcella) Schermetzler, Manitowoc, Mrs. Norbert (Anna) Schermetzler, rural Whitelaw; four sisters an a brother-in-law, Irma Huber, Kewaunee, Adeline Leick, Whitelaw, Marie Mayer, Manitowoc, Eileen and Ed. Staudinger, rural Reedsville. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Arnold (Delores) Schultz, Manitowoc, niece, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Norbert and Jacob Schermetzler, four infant brothers and three brothers-in-law, Victor Huber, Fred Leick and Norman Mayer.

The family will greet relatives and friends Tuesday evening at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 6 to 8 p.m. where a prayer service will conclude the visitation at 8 p.m. led by Deacon Phil Andrastek, Helen’s son-in-law, and Wednesday morning at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m.

Memorials may be made to the church renovation at St. Mary’s Manitowoc.
