Mrs. Clarence (Loraine) Shimek, 63, of 833 Manitou St., Manitowoc, died Monday morning, June 30, 1986, at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:30 am Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. James Stamborski will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Shimek, nee Loraine P. Poklinkosky was born May 14, 1923 at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Frank J. and Elsie Winkelman Poklinkosky. She resided in Manitowoc all her life attending Manitowoc Parochial Schools and was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the Class of 1941. She was married to Clarence W. Shimek Feb. 9, 1946 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mrs. Shimek served as Vice President of Shimeks Furniture Inc.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence W.; a son and daughter-in-law, Scot and Mary Jo Shimek of Two Rivers; a daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Jerry Bruns of Manitowoc and six grandchildren, Angela, Wendy, Ryan, Darrick, Nathan and Edward. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 pm to 8 pm Wednesday where a prayer service will be 7 pm by Rev. Stamborski.
