Mrs. Lillian G. Singer, age 91, formerly of 1613 S 15th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday evening, March 16, 1994, at the Manitowoc Health Care Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 am. Saturday, March 19, 1994, at the St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. James J. Stamborski with burial to follow at the Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Lillian G. Thornton was born February 7, 1903, in Chicago, Ill., daughter of the late Frank and Anne Hamel Thornton. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1921. She married Clarence A. Singer on September 25, 1927, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death September 27, 1991. Mrs. Singer was a member of the St. Andrew Congregation and the St. Andre St. Theresa Society.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Nona Singer, Manitowoc; three grandsons and their spouses, David and Joy Singer, Manitowoc, Steven and Jean Singer, Manitowoc, Michael Singer and his fiancee, Karen Claeys, Oregon; four great-grandchildren, Amanda and Natalie Singer, Matt and Sarah Wood; two sisters, Wilma Freund, Manitowoc, Eleanor Oldenburg, state of Washington; two sisters-in-law, Marion Singer, Cudahey, Wis., Margaret Hastreiter, Waukesha; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leo and Margaret Singer, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, also survive. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Chester and Arnold Thornton.
Friends may call at St. Andrew's Catholic Church from 9 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 1994, until the time of service at 11 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
