Edward L. Smaglik, 80, of ____ S. 11th Street, Manitowoc, died late Wednesday afternoon, November 9, 1988, at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Memorial services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 12 noon at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Gerald Pinkowski, OFM with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Smaglik was born February 1, 1908 at Iron Mountain, Michigan, son of the late Joseph and Anna Pinkowski Smaglik. He married the former Leona Buretta on May 28, 1935, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mr. Smaglik was employed as a Chef at Colonial Inn for ?? years until his retirement in 1976. He was a 30 year member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie Number ?06 and the Manitowoc Senior Center.
Survivors include his wife,. Leona, two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Marge Smaglik of Manitowoc and Edward C. and Ann Smaglik of Manitowoc; a daughter, Mary Kowalski of Newton; a brother and sister-in-law, Chester and Mary Smaglik of Philips, Wisconsin; a sister, Gladys Se_____; six grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by a son, William.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday. Prayer Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. led by Father Jerry.
