Mrs. Susan Smazel, 88, died Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter with whom she resided, Mrs. Hans Weinert, of 2107 Clark St., Manitowoc, following an extensive illness.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, with the Rev. Edward Nowakowski officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Smazel, nee Susan Swokowsky, was born June 12, 1869, at Northeim, daughter of the late John and Antionette Swokowsky. She moved to Manitowoc as a child with her parents and was married to Joseph Smazel July 11, 1889. He preceded her in death May 6, 1914.
Surviving are her daughter, two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A son, Joseph , preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday where the Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.
