Mary Ellen Stephani Spruiell, age 63, a native of Manitowoc, Wis., died Wednesday, February 7, 2001, at Chesapeake, Va.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 15, 2001, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Finian Zaucha O.F.M. will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born Mary Ellen Stephani, December 28, 1937, at Manitowoc, the daughter of the late William and Hildegard Burkart Stephani.
Mary Ellen was a graduate of Lincoln High School and was a beautician in Manitowoc prior to her marriage to Robert L. Spruiell, November 15, 1958, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include two daughters, Colleen Spruiell and Jean Rutherford, both of Portsmouth, Va.; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Beverly Spruiell, Chesapeake, Va.; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Winston Miller; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Robert and Betty Stephani, Ruth Stephani, all of Manitowoc; five grandchildren, Michael, Molly, Stephani, David and Amy; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one sister, Helen Stephani and one brother, Albert Stephani.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Andrew Catholic Church, from 9 a.m. Thursday until the time of service at 10 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
