(1907 - 1974)

Sylvester A. Stanzel, 67, of 2015 S. Ninth St., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning at University Hospital, Madison.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Thaddeus J. Koszarek will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Stanzel was born Sept. 7, 1907, at Francis Creek, son of the late Alex and Fedis Ann Bonk Stanzel. He married Elba Arndt July 19, 1934, at Manitowoc, residing at Manitowoc. He was employed at C. Reiss Coal Co., retiring in 1972.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, John of Waupun and Arthur, of Manitowoc; three daughters, Mrs. James (Bernice) Sevenich, of Stevens Point, Mrs. Gordon (Grace) Koeser, of Rockford, Ill., and Mrs. William (Arlene) Michaels, of Oregon, Wis.; a brother, Emil, of Webster, N.Y.; three sisters, Ms. Rose Srdan, of Kenosha, Mrs. Amelia Lang, of Pomona, Calif., and Mrs. Edward (Evangeline) Rosinsky, of Manitowoc and 10 grandchildren.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 5 to 9 o'clock this Monday evening where a wake service will be held at 8 o'clock.
