ANNA M. STEDER
(1866 - 1926)

OPERATION IS FUTILE TO SAVE MRS. J. STEDER

Complications which set in following a serious operation which she underwent a short time ago caused the death of Mrs. Anna Margaret Steder, wife of John Steder, at the Holy Family hospital at 6:15 this morning. The funeral will be held from the family home at 1221 South Fifteenth street Saturday morning with services at St. Boniface Catholic church at 9 o'clock, the Rev. Kerston officiating. Burial will be at Calvary.

Anna Margaret Steder, nee Walter, was born in Manitowoc January 20, 1866 and was past sixty years of age. The family removed to Colby when she was twelve years old and it was at that place she was married to John Steder forty-six years ago. Seven years ago they returned to this city to make their home, Mr. Steder being employed at the local plant of the Aluminum Goods Manufacturing company.

Five children preceded the mother in death and surviving are the husband, two daughters, Mrs. Henry Zinkel and Mrs. Charles Walt, both of this city but the latter formerly of Portland, Oregon, and one son, Carl of Madison. Ten grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Rose Squires and a brother, Albert Walt, both of Florida, also survive her.

She was a member of the local lodge of the E.F.U. and of the Royal Neighbors and was also a member of the St. Anne's society.
